The Technicolor TG589VN v3 VDSL/ADSL2+ WiFi Router is a small office/home office router, ideal for Fibre-to-the-Cabinet or ADSL connections. This router is similar to Technicolor’s TG582 model, but due to it’s enhanced hardware it is more suitable for faster connections. With a simultaneous operation of 802.11b/g/n, you’ll get great WiFi speed and stability. This IPv6 enabled router features four Fast Ethernet LAN ports and offers a seamless connection of wired and wireless devices from anywhere in the home or office.

Like all Technicolor Routers, this Technicolor TG589VN v3 interoperates seamlessly with the Technicolor Router Setup wizard, making the setup of a wireless home network as easy as clicking a button. No more helpdesk calls are needed, just click and you are ready to go. The Technicolor Router Setup wizard performs comprehensive system checks before and during the installation and setup process, and validates all user input to guarantee the end user a secured wireless connection to the Internet. Furthermore, thanks to the Flexiport feature, the Technicolor TG589VN v3 automatically detects the Ethernet port where a set-top box is connected. This simplifies the installation process of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) for end users.
The built-in Technicolor firewall guarantees users the ultimate network security level. Through integration with NAT, the firewall leverages all the Application Level Gateways (ALGs) provided in the NAT context to minimise undesired service impacts. The firewall provides Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), and an integrated Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDS) engine monitors a wide range of attack patterns, and logs potential security breaches to a local cache or remote server.
The Technicolor TG589VN v3 also supports powerful wireless security mechanisms, such as Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA2) together with a secure and user-friendly connection and configuration mechanism for wireless clients (WPS).
The support of multiple SSIDs in the gateway enables support for up to four independent wireless access networks. These additional wireless networks allow other wireless users to enjoy the high-performance access without compromising the integrity of the basic network, thus keeping the original network access limited and secure.
As a high-end service memory platform, the Technicolor TG589VN v3 is futureproof thanks to its scalable software architecture. The most advanced features can be integrated without any problem; even third-party applications, such as home monitoring, helpdesk…, are easily integrated.
